Readme for the Installation of Programs designed by DJ5HG
=========================================================

These programs are my original MATLAB functions, and they
are interpreted by the MATLAB Runtime system. To enable you
to run these programs without the very costly (and very
useful) MATLAB system, both the MATLAB Compiler Runtime
and the programs are encrypted. The MCR may only be used
in combination with the programs from DJ5HG, and only for
non-commercial purposes.

To get the programs running the Matlab Compiler Runtime (MCR)
must be installed.

Installation of the Matlab Compiler Runtime
===========================================

 (1) Download MCR_Installer.zip

 (2) Unpack the downloaded zip-archive.
     It contains this help file Install_MCR.txt and MCRInstaller.exe

 (3) run MCRInstaller.exe

 (4) Usually the MCR demands for the additional installation of
     VCREDIST_V90_X86 and VCREDIST_X86. Click Install.

 (5) The MCR needs an entry in the registry. Allow this change.

 (6) The MATLAB Compiler Runtime Install Shield Wizard appears.
     Click Next for starting the installation.

 (7) The MCR wants user name and organization. One letter for the
     name and a blank for the organization is sufficient.

 (8) The installer proposes a destination folder. It usually is ok.

 (9) Now the installer is ready for start. Click Install.

(10) Again you have to allow a change on your computer.

(11) The installation may take some minutes. Then click Finish.

MCR-Test
========

I made a little program to check for problems with the MCR-installation.
It is not necessary to run this program. But it can give some hints to
possible problems.

(1) Download MCR_Test

(2) Unpack the zip-archive

(3) Double click on the MCR_Test.exe

    A window with the title "Test of Matlab Compiler Runtime" should
    appear with the important message:

    This is the place to store the folders of DJ5HG-programs:

    c:\users\YOUR_USER_NAME\documents\MATLAB or something similar.

(4) Open this MATLAB folder and create here a folder MCR_Test if it
    not already exists.

(5) Move the extracted files of the MCR_Test.zip into this folder.

(6) Exit the running program and start it again from the new location.
    If there is a problem with the generation of the report file try
    to start the program as administrator (right mouse click on the
    MCR_Test.exe and select "start as administrator").

Getting a Program Running
=========================

(1) Download the zip-archive

(2) Create a folder with the program name in the MATLAB-folder if it
    not already exists. Usually it is located as described in (3) of
    the MCR-Test chapter. For example ....\MATLAB\CW_Filter\

(3) Unpack the zip-archive into this folder

(4) Double click on the *.exe
    The first run decompiles the program which may take a while.
    Some programs at first start need to register the winsound drivers.
    This may necessitate a start as an administrator.
